Energeticky bohat\u00e9 l\u00e1tky z\u00edsk\u00e1vaj\u00ed konzumac\u00ed t\u011bl producent\u016f. Nezelen\u00e9 rostliny a v\u011bt\u0161\u00ed \u017eivo\u010dichov\u00e9 jsou vzhledem ke sv\u00e9 velikosti (a povaze sv\u00e9 potravy) n\u011bkdy ozna\u010dov\u00e1ni jako heterotrofn\u00ed makrokonzumenti, zat\u00edmco houby, neautotrofn\u00ed bakterie a tak\u00e9 \u010detn\u00ed z\u00e1stupci \u010dlenovc\u016f p\u0159edstavuj\u00ed mikrokonzumenty.<br \/>\nDestruenti (reducenti) = mikrokonzumenti &#8211; z\u00edsk\u00e1v\u00e1n\u00ed energie je u nich spojeno s rozkladem l\u00e1tek a uvol\u0148ov\u00e1n\u00edm miner\u00e1ln\u00edch \u017eivin, kter\u00e9 jsou tak op\u011bt zp\u0159\u00edstupn\u011bny producent\u016fm pro dal\u0161\u00ed fotosynt\u00e9zu.
