Krovky jsou hn\u011bdo\u010dern\u00e9, m\u00edrn\u011b leskl\u00e9, \u0161t\u00edt je \u010dern\u00fd, hrub\u011b vr\u00e1s\u010dit\u00fd s\u00a0dv\u011bma bo\u010dn\u00edmi trny. Tykadla same\u010dk\u016f jsou n\u00e1padn\u011b del\u0161\u00ed ne\u017e tykadla sami\u010dek. Dorostl\u00e9 larvy m\u011b\u0159\u00ed 70\u201390 mm, jsou sklovit\u011b b\u00edl\u00e9 s\u00a0tmavou hlavou a \u010dern\u00fdmi siln\u00fdmi kusadly. Sami\u010dky kladou vaj\u00ed\u010dka do \u0161t\u011brbin k\u016fry. Vyl\u00edhl\u00e9 larvy se \u017eiv\u00ed p\u0159edev\u0161\u00edm k\u016frou. Po prvn\u00edm p\u0159ezimov\u00e1n\u00ed po\u0161kozuj\u00ed l\u00fdko a povrchovou b\u011bl. Na druh\u00e9 p\u0159ezimov\u00e1n\u00ed se zavrt\u00e1vaj\u00ed do d\u0159eva, odkud na ja\u0159e pokra\u010duj\u00ed hluboko k\u00a0j\u00e1dru. Vyhlod\u00e1vaj\u00ed \u0161iroce ov\u00e1ln\u00e9 h\u00e1kovit\u00e9 chodby. Dorostl\u00e9 larvy se kukl\u00ed v\u00a0po\u017eerc\u00edch. Vyl\u00edhl\u00ed brouci v\u0161ak po\u017eerky neopou\u0161t\u011bj\u00ed a je\u0161t\u011b jednou p\u0159ezimuj\u00ed. V\u00fdvoj trv\u00e1 3\u20135 let.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>V\u00ddZNAM DRUHU: <\/strong>chr\u00e1n\u011bn\u00fd druh, napadaj\u00edc\u00ed p\u0159edev\u0161\u00edm star\u0161\u00ed silnokor\u00e9 stromy, zejm. fyziologicky oslaben\u00e9 \u010di p\u0159est\u00e1rl\u00e9. P\u0159ednost d\u00e1v\u00e1 oslun\u011bn\u00fdm jedinc\u016fm.
