Hlava je prot\u00e1hl\u00e1 v\u00a0\u0161irok\u00fd, ne p\u0159\u00edli\u0161 dlouh\u00fd nosec, osazen\u00fd lomen\u00fdmi tykadly. Vaj\u00ed\u010dka jsou 0,7 mm velk\u00e1, v\u00edcem\u00e9n\u011b kulovit\u00e1. \u010cerstv\u00e1 jsou b\u00edl\u00e1, av\u0161ak brzy hn\u011bdnou. Larvy jsou rohl\u00ed\u010dkovit\u00e9, beznoh\u00e9, kr\u00e9mov\u011b hn\u011bdav\u011b b\u00edl\u00e9, 8\u201310 mm velk\u00e9, s\u00a0\u010dervenav\u011b hn\u011bdou hlavou. B\u011bhem noci okusuj\u00ed nadzemn\u00ed \u010d\u00e1sti, zejm\u00e9na listy, mnoha druh\u016f rostlin. B\u011bhem dne jsou zpravidla v\u00a0r\u016fzn\u00fdch \u00fakrytech, \u010d\u00edm\u017e unikaj\u00ed pozornosti. Od \u010dervence kladou partenogenetick\u00e9 sami\u010dky do p\u016fdy, v\u00a0bl\u00edzkosti hostitelsk\u00e9 rostliny, vaj\u00ed\u010dka. Rhizof\u00e1gn\u00ed larvy se l\u00edhnou asi po 2\u20133 t\u00fddnech. Jejich v\u00fdvoj je pom\u011brn\u011b dlouh\u00fd; n\u00e1sleduj\u00edc\u00edho jara se kukl\u00ed v\u00a0zemn\u00ed kom\u016frce. N\u011bkte\u0159\u00ed brouci \u017eij\u00ed 2 a i v\u00edce let. P\u0159ezimuj\u00ed v\u00a0r\u016fzn\u00fdch \u00fakrytech. Ve sklen\u00edc\u00edch se mohou brouci vyl\u00edhnout i na podzim nebo koncem zimy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>V\u00ddZNAM DRUHU: <\/strong>brouci vykusuj\u00ed na okraj\u00edch list\u016f charakteristick\u00e1, obloukovit\u00e1 po\u0161kozen\u00ed. Mohou po\u0161kozovat i kv\u011bty a stonky, kter\u00e9 krou\u017ekuj\u00ed. Velk\u00fdm probl\u00e9mem jsou v\u0161ak jejich larvy, o\u017e\u00edraj\u00edc\u00ed nejen jemn\u00e9 ko\u0159\u00ednky, ale i siln\u00e9 ko\u0159eny, a to a\u017e na d\u0159evn\u00ed \u010d\u00e1st. V\u00a0m\u011bkk\u00fdch hl\u00edz\u00e1ch vy\u017e\u00edraj\u00ed otvory. Napaden\u00e9 rostliny, krn\u00ed, vadnou a odum\u00edraj\u00ed.
