Z\u00e1\u010f krovek a p\u0159edn\u00ed okraj \u0161t\u00edtu jsou zaoblen\u00e9. Cel\u00e9 t\u011blo je \u0159\u00eddce, dlouze, odst\u00e1le ochlupen\u00e9. Larva je b\u011blav\u00e1, rohl\u00ed\u010dkovit\u00e1, beznoh\u00e1, se siln\u011b chitinizovanou hn\u011bdou hlavou. Dorostl\u00e1 m\u011b\u0159\u00ed 4\u20136 mm. Vaj\u00ed\u010dka jsou drobn\u00e1, asi 1 mm velk\u00e1, ov\u00e1ln\u00e1, skeln\u011b leskl\u00e1, b\u011blav\u00e1. Kukla je voln\u00e1, b\u00edl\u00e1, se 2 kr\u00e1tk\u00fdmi trny na konci zade\u010dku. Po\u017eerek je hv\u011bzdicovit\u00fd, nej\u010dast\u011bji t\u0159\u00ed a\u017e \u010dty\u0159ramenn\u00fd. Mate\u010dn\u00e9 chodby jsou a\u017e 30 cm dlouh\u00e9, s n\u011bkolika dob\u0159e patrn\u00fdmi v\u011btrac\u00edmi otvory. Larvov\u00e9 chodby jsou m\u00edrn\u011b zproh\u00fdban\u00e9, jen 4\u20138 cm dlouh\u00e9, nepatrn\u011b zasahuj\u00edc\u00ed do b\u011ble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>EKOLOGIE DRUHU:<\/strong> jarn\u00ed rojen\u00ed brouk\u016f za\u010d\u00edn\u00e1, v z\u00e1vislosti na pr\u016fb\u011bhu po\u010das\u00ed, koncem dubna a\u017e za\u010d\u00e1tkem kv\u011btna. Zralostn\u00ed \u017e\u00edr prod\u011bl\u00e1vaj\u00ed mlad\u00ed brouci bu\u010f v m\u00edst\u011b sv\u00e9ho v\u00fdvoje, nebo po\u017eerky opou\u0161t\u00ed a nal\u00e9t\u00e1vaj\u00ed do korun mod\u0159\u00edn\u016f, kde ohlod\u00e1vaj\u00ed k\u016fru \u010derstv\u00fdch v\u00fdhon\u016f \u010di tyto v\u00fdhony vy\u017e\u00edraj\u00ed. Pot\u00e9 samci vyhlod\u00e1vaj\u00ed v k\u016f\u0159e snubn\u00ed kom\u016frku a l\u00e1kaj\u00ed sami\u010dky k p\u00e1\u0159en\u00ed. Oplodn\u011bn\u00e9 sami\u010dky vyhlod\u00e1vaj\u00ed mate\u010dn\u00e9 chodby, pod\u00e9l nich\u017e kladou jednotliv\u00e1 vaj\u00ed\u010dka. Vyl\u00edhl\u00e9 larvy hlodaj\u00ed v l\u00fdku chodby a na jejich konc\u00edch se kukl\u00ed. Letn\u00ed rojen\u00ed brouk\u016f prob\u00edh\u00e1 po\u010d\u00e1tkem \u010dervence. P\u0159ezimuj\u00ed larvy, kukly nebo brouci 2. generace. Druh vytv\u00e1\u0159\u00ed sestersk\u00e9 pokolen\u00ed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>V\u00ddZNAM DRUHU: <\/strong>l\u00fdko\u017erout mod\u0159\u00ednov\u00fd je p\u0159edev\u0161\u00edm sekund\u00e1rn\u00ed \u0161k\u016fdce mod\u0159\u00ednov\u00fdch kmen\u016f ni\u017e\u0161\u00edch a st\u0159edn\u00edch poloh.
